We are here to change that, one cup at a time.
Welcome, sister! I’m Jody, the founder of the Overcaffeinated Life. Let me start off by saying, girl, I see you, and I’m rooting for you.
Us women are the keeper of the calendars, kisser of boo-boos, cheerleaders, and, let's be real, the family uber drivers. We're the soft spot to land on when things go wrong, and the smile waiting for them when they do their best and deserve recognition.
And it’s exhausting AF! #doingallthethings
To add to that, I started to notice that in today's world, even though we are more “connected” than ever, we have to work harder than ever to find TRUE connection. They tell us it "takes a village," but ladies, it seems the village has disappeared… and I think we need to bring it back.
I started this coffee business because coffee is that connection in so many of our lives that brings us together. The warm cup of coffee extended to you by a friend, the deep belly laughs you share with your sister over cold brew, the oh-so-precious quiet moments in the morning that allow you to connect back to yourself...
Coffee has the ability to connect us.
You see, I struggled with true connection as a young wife and mother.
My husband and I were high school sweethearts in every definition of the word. When we got married, he was joining the military, and as soon as reality hit me we were already off to a new place. Leaving our home town and being plopped in middle of a brand new, unknown place left us starving for connection.
We needed connection.
We all need connection.
Now, I’m on a mission to create an amazing community of women where we can support each other, create a safe space for truth and honesty (because motherhood ain’t all sunshine and rainbows), and build the connections we are all starving for...
one great cup of coffee at a time.
And while doing this, you might as well be sipping on a damn good one, because life is too damn short for bad coffee. Can I get an Amen sister?
